Beautiful 100-acre park in St Albans on the site of the Roman city of Verulamium with a large lake, formal gardens, children's play area and sports facilities. The Verulamium Museum displays an incredible collection of Roman mosaics, wall paintings, jewellery and everyday artefacts. Free ear defenders available from the museum desk. The park has flat, accessible paths, a splash pad in summer and plenty of open space. One of Hertfordshire's best SEND-friendly outdoor venues — calm on weekday mornings.
