Two colossal Grade I listed airship hangars at the historic Cardington Airfield — among the largest unsupported structures in the world. Visible from the A421. The site built the R101 airship. While the hangars themselves are not open to the public, they can be viewed from the road and footpaths. Awe-inspiring sight. Good for SEND families interested in engineering and history. Combine with a visit to the Aviation Museum.
